We set out to build a business where God and Family comes first. Training horses from home is how we are able to spend good quality family time and keep God in the middle of it all.
How It Started
Born in the Saddle, Raised on Scripture
Bar R Horses started the same way most things worth doing start — not with a business plan, but with a calling. We grew up around horses. Garrett's dad had them, his dad had them, and somewhere along the way it stopped being something we did and became something we are.
We've always believed that how you treat an animal says a lot about your character. A horse can't talk back, can't complain, can't walk off the job. That means the way you handle one is a direct reflection of who you are when nobody's watching. We take that seriously.
When we started selling and training horses under the Bar R name, we made a simple promise to ourselves: we'd only put our name on something we'd be proud to stand behind. That means honest horses, honest prices, and honest conversations. No games, no pressure, no nonsense.

Faith First
Everything we do is grounded in our faith. We believe God put us here to be good stewards — of the land, of the animals, and of the people we do business with. That's not a slogan. It's how we make decisions.

This is a family operation. When you call us, you're talking to the people who actually do the work. There's no middleman, no sales team, no corporate structure. Just us — and we stand behind everything we sell.

Horses Third
We love horses. We've spent our whole lives learning them, and we're still learning. We believe a good horse deserves a good home, and we won't sell one to a situation we don't feel right about.

We're a husband and wife team based in Texas. Garrett has experience starting colts, working cattle, and finding the right horse for the right person. We don't have a big operation — and that's on purpose. We'd rather do a few things right than a lot of things halfway.
